Professional wrestling returns to the Lehigh Valley this summer as part of the Allentown Fair.
The fair announced Thursday that the Allentown Fairgrounds will host wrestling for the first time in decades during the festival. The fairgrounds served as a regular taping site for what is now known as the WWE in the 1970s through the 1980s. Those matches were broadcast throughout the Northeast and introduced professional wrestling to a broader audience, the fair said.
“Professional wrestling has deep roots at the Allentown Fairgrounds,” Jessica Ciecwisz, the fair’s marketing and entertainment manager, said in a news release. “Bringing wrestling back in 2026 allows us to honor that history while offering today’s fans the chance to experience live professional wrestling in a setting that helped shape the sport.”
This summer’s event, titled “Stars, Stripes & Slams,” will be held Sept. 3 and will feature wrestlers such as The Good Brothers, N-ZO, Heath, Tito Santana and James Ellsworth.
A meet and greet for fans will be held from 6-7 p.m. before the matches, which start at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday. The fair, now in its 174th year, will be held from Sept. 2-7 at the Allentown Fairgrounds.
The first headliner, country musician Warren Zeiders, was announced Wednesday.
