The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has officially passed House Resolution 445, designating April 8, 2026, as “THON Day” throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

The resolution recognizes and is in honor of Penn State THON’s impact, reach, and dedication to end childhood cancer. As the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, Penn State THON works tirelessly through fundraising and volunteer efforts to support Four Diamonds.

Since partnering with Four Diamonds in 1977, THON has raised over $272 million and supported more than 4,800 children and families impacted by childhood cancer. This year, THON 2026 raised a record-breaking $18.8 million to help cover medical expenses and critical cancer research. None of this would be possible without the statewide and national support acknowledged by this commemorative day.

Folks can celebrate “THON Day” by donning their THON or Mini-THON gear or tried-and-true blue and white to show their support for THON’s mission and for the kids.
