MP Coney Island is set to open its second location inside the Gulf station at the intersection of Robinson Road and Peach Street.
“We’re super excited to get rolling, said owner Anthony Santoro. “We just think this is a location that is also convenient. The first location is convenient. This location kind of hits a little more home for Erie people and Erie folks. We’re introducing a full line of Smith’s Hot Dogs along with our Chili Dog. Smith’s Hot Dogs is just keeping things local. It seems to be exciting for the people, so we’re excited as well.”
The first MP Coney Island location is located at 6360 Sterrettania Rd, just off of Interstate 90 in Fairview.
The new location will hold a soft opening on Saturday, April 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular business hours will begin Monday, April 6. The restaurant will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. A grand opening date is set to be announced for next week.
“It just made sense from a customer standpoint. It made sense from a location standpoint. It made sense from a location standpoint, a demographic standpoint,” said Santoro. “We have had a ton of support since we opened up from the local community, allowing us to bring them just a little bit closer so they don’t have to travel as far. It’s a tribute to them, its for them.
