MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A Pennsylvania Planet Fitness employee was seriously injured Thursday after being stabbed, and another man is facing charges, police said.
Davier Massey, 29, of Philadelphia, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime and other charges from the stabbing, according to online court records.
The employee, a man, was stabbed around 12:30 p.m. during an altercation with Massey at the gym located at 1000 S. Easton Road in Cheltenham Township, according to police. Due to the employee’s life-threatening injuries, he was taken to a trauma center.

Massey was previously banned from the gym, police said. He was found a short distance away from the gym and taken into custody.

Court records show Massey was lodged in Montgomery County Prison with bail denied after he was arraigned. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 16.
