Today’s weather cooperated for a favorite Erie spring tradition at the Erie Zoo.
Just in time for Easter, the zoo hosted its annual Easter egg hunt, known as the Spring Egg-Venture. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., children searched for hundreds of colorful eggs hidden throughout animal exhibits and the zoo gardens.
Some of the eggs contained special prizes, adding to the excitement for families. The event was included with regular zoo admission for the day.
Zoo staff say the Easter egg hunt is the perfect kickoff to a busy season of events at the Erie Zoo. The zoo will also be open tomorrow on Easter Sunday, welcoming visitors for the holiday.
