WILLISTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Pennsylvania man is behind bars after police say he robbed a gas station at gunpoint and then stole a car.
Williston Police Department said they responded to an armed robbery at Stewarts gas station in Williston just before 8 p.m. Friday.
Police said 38-year-old Maurice Nelson of Philadelphia held a firearm at the store clerk, took cash and merchandise before leaving the scene by stealing a customer’s car.
Police said roughly one hour later, Burlington police found the stolen car on Main Street.
Nelson ran out of the car before police caught him and took him into custody.
He is being held without bail.
