The line went around the block yesterday, outside Muzzy’s Shack, as several hundred people, mostly students from area schools bombarded the store as they were giving out free food. That was their promotion , for four hours, 3:00 PM until7:00 PM, free food.
This is a store that sells quick bites to eat, sliders, chicken tenders, hamburgers. “My family has been in the business of selling chicken for 40 years” said Ahmad Durani co founder of the store. It’s located 5821 Bensalem Blvd., which is right at Bensalem Blvd. and Bridge Street. This used to be Chief 10’s Smokehouse and prior to that, it was a take out store.

At 3:00 PM, kids crammed into the doorway to be one of the first people in the store. Police and security were detailed to keep the kids under control. At one point, the second door was open for adults who came a bit later, to go into the store. The wait time was about 10 minutes to get food.

The chicken tenders were not skimpy. They were a meal in and of itself. Durani is smart enough to know that while some folks love their food hot and spicy, others do not, that is why they offer their food plain, mid or very spicy. Durani and his family all live in Bensalem and he is proud to say he graduated from Bensalem High School.
The shop is named after another family member. “The name, it’s very important,” he said. They have one location on Street Road in Warminster. Shortly, they are looking into opening a spot in Burlington County.
