A plane made an emergency landing on a highway in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 4, after the pilot ran into engine trouble, local news reported.

Footage here from Emily Rivera shows the moment the small plane landed alongside vehicles on Interstate 78 shortly after 9 am on Saturday morning.

Local Kutztown paper Daily Voice said the plane was travelling from Solberg Airport in New Jersey to Indiana when the pilot, a 65-year-old man from Michigan, encountered engine problems.

The incident prompted closures of all eastbound traffic on I-78 for several hours on Saturday while the plane was towed to a nearby airport. Credit: Emily Rivera via Storyful
