The Eagles are without several key players as they host the New York Giants in Week 8 at the Linc.

A.J. Brown, Cam Jurgens, Adoree’ Jackson and Azeez Ojulari were all ruled out on Friday’s injury report. After that, the only other inactive is Sam Howell, who will serve as the emergency quarterback:

WR A.J. Brown (hamstring)
C Cam Jurgens (knee)
CB Adoree’ Jackson (concussion)
OLB Azeez Ojulari (hamstring)
QB Sam Howell (emergency QB)

Without Brown, the Eagles five receivers for this game are DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, John Metchie, Xavier Gipson and Darius Cooper. The Eagles activated Cooper (shoulder) from Injured Reserve on Saturday and he’s active. Cooper, an undrafted rookie from Tarleton State, played 20 snaps on offense in the first three games before his injury.

Jurgens injured his knee in Minnesota and was replaced by veteran Brett Toth. Based on practice this week, Toth will replace Jurgens in a 1-for-1 swap. The Eagles had other options but it seems like the Eagles have decided to go with that path.

While the Eagles activated Cooper, they did not activate CB Jakorian Bennett (pectoral), who also had his practice window opened this week. Without Bennett and Jackson, expect Kelee Ringo to get another start at outside cornerback opposite Quinyon Mitchell.

Brandon Graham returned to the NFL this week from retirement but was ruled out on Friday. He has a two-week exemption so expect the Eagles to activate him coming back from their bye week before they play the Packers in Green Bay in Week 10.
