A New Jersey man was arrested on April 3, 2026, in connection with a deadly crash that happened in Vineland on New Year’s Eve in 2025.
According to the Cumberland County Prosecutors Office, Donald Hunt Jr., 34, is accused of speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash that killed 41-year-old Lance Warren, of Philadelphia.
Officials said around 9:18 p.m., on Dec. 31, 2025, Vineland first responders arrived to the area of North Delsea Drive and Columbia Avenue after receiving a report of a crash involving two cars.
The investigation determined that Warren, who was driving a Chrysler 300, was in the process of making a U-turn when he was struck on the driver’s side by Hunt, who was driving a Chevrolet Camaro.
On April 2, 2026, Hunt was charged with one count of first-degree aggravated manslaughter, second-degree vehicular homicide, and third-degree strict liability vehicular homicide in connection with the deadly crash.
Hunt was arrested the next day and booked into the Cumberland County jail.
According to officials, the State filed a motion to detain Hunt pending trial, which is set to be heard on Wednesday, April 8.
