First responders were called to some serious damage late last week at a home on Erie’s east side after a car plowed through the building.

The crash happened at the intersection of East 10th Street and Hess Avenue on Friday, just after 4 p.m.

Emergency services included the likes of the Erie Fire Department, EmergyCare and a tow company to remove the car from the scene.

First responders had to help the driver get out of the vehicle.

Reports from the scene indicate that the accident may have involved another vehicle, leading to that crash.

Building inspectors were on scene investigating the structural integrity following the incident.

The accident is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
