The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning on Tuesday for southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It begins at midnight and continues until 9 a.m. Wednesday. A freeze watch then picks up Wednesday evening and continues through Thursday morning.

Counties in Pennsylvania that are expected to be affected are: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and includes Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer and Monmouth in NJ.

According to the NWS, lows between 25 and 30 degrees are expected.

“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” the NWS warning said.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 54. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Wednesday night: Areas of frost after midnight. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 29. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Thursday:  Areas of frost before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 38.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 69.

March weather had its ups, downs, but warm ended up winning
