BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Bethlehem’s mayor is looking back on the city’s progress, while looking to the future.
Mayor J. William Reynolds took the stage at the ArtsQuest Musikfest Cafe on Wednesday morning for his State of the City address.
He said one of the biggest challenges Bethlehem faces today is still housing.
“We have a good problem that everyone wants to live in Bethlehem. But it’s a simple supply-and-demand issue, and people in the city of Bethlehem love where they live, and when people come here, they want to live here too which creates a real market dynamic,” he said.
Reynolds also touched on Bethlehem’s growth, priorities, and vision for the city.
He also highlighted some success stories, and mentioned Bethlehem’s plans for the nation’s 250th anniversary.
69 News reporter Michelle Wolf will have more on the State of the City in the evening newscasts.
