SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — After receiving treatment for gunshot wounds from a Tuesday night shooting, a man was arrested for his alleged connection to a shooting several weeks prior.

Roderick Jenkins of Scranton, 23, was arrested Tuesday and faces multiple charges in connection with a March 15 shooting on Green Ridge Street.

According to Scranton police, Jenkins was found Tuesday night with a gunshot wound to the leg, treated, and taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center in an ambulance. Once released, police say he was taken into custody on an arrest warrant.

Jenkins is accused of shooting a man after a fight at an after-hours party. The man Jenkins allegedly shot is expected to recover.

The identity of Jenkins’ shooter is currently unknown.

Jenkins faces several assault charges and a $200,000 bail.
