The Archbald Historical Society presented a program at the borough’s Sesquicentennial Green and Gold Day to highlight events, photographs and artifacts of Archbald’s past. The event was part of Archbald’s 150th anniversary celebration. Along with the ABHS, the Lackawanna Historical Society, James McKane and the Valley View history club used displays, items and games to highlight the past. Families also participated in arts and crafts, face painting, photo booths, an escape room and circus-themed games.
Events for the 150th anniversary will be conducted throughout the entire year at different locations. To join a committee, keep track of meeting dates or learn about upcoming events, follow the Archbald 150 Facebook page.
