Parents are busy, and often multitasking. When the Kidsburgh team decided to launch a podcast in 2024 (with serious tech support from our talented partners at SLB Radio), our goal was to create inspiring, informative and fun episodes that parents and kids could listen to together.

We pictured parents and kids of all ages doing all the daily life stuff — making meals or maybe running errands or heading to school or other places by car — while listening to the ideas and stories shared by all kinds of interesting people with connections to Pittsburgh.

So we reached out to everyone from astronauts and rocket scientists to NFL, MLB and Olympic stars, and also to local chefs, mental health experts, teachers, scientists, life coaches and more, inviting them to be interviewed.

We were grateful when they all said, “Yes!” And we’re even more grateful that we’ve been nominated for a Best of the ‘Burgh award by Pittsburgh Magazine for the second year in a row.

You can vote right here for the Kidsburgh Podcast in the Personalities category under Podcasts. (Voting ends at midnight on April 20.)

Looking for inspiration and entertainment (and some parenting advice, too)? We’ve got three seasons (a total of 36 episodes) that you can listen to right here or on Apple Podcasts, Pandora and Spotify, or at the SLB website.

We’re so glad we can bring inspiring stories, great information and a lot of fun to listeners throughout the Pittsburgh region and beyond. If there is a topic you’d like us to explore on a future episode of the Kidsburgh Podcast, you can let us know right here.

Josh and Gab visit the Kidsburgh podcast on Oct. 2, 2025 for Season 3, episode 7.
