Church fundraising event: Christ the King will hold a Spring into Cash event May 3, noon-2 p.m., Christ the King Hall, 429 Church St., $20/donation is nonrefundable. No need to be present to win. $100 drawings every 15 minutes with the last drawing being a mystery cash amount of at least $100. Winners returned to the drawing for multiple chances to win; also featuring a basket raffle (25 chances for $10), 50/50 (three chances for $5), lottery tree (three chances for $5); live music and light fare provided the day of event. Divine Mercy Sunday: The annual celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday will be April 12 at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton (Minooka). Confessions will be heard from noon-2 p.m. with praying of the rosary, followed by the celebration of Mass. At 3 p.m., there will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, praying of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Eucharistic procession and individual blessing of the first-class relic of St. Faustina.
