Surrendered Animals - 1

The ANNA Shelter along with local law enforcement removed 29 dogs and a cat from unsanitary living conditions earlier this week. The owners surrendered the animals after stating that they were unable to properly care for them.

All animals have been taken to the ANNA Shelter for further medical care. The dogs which are mostly hounds or beagle breeds ranged from 10 weeks to senior age.

Officer Steve Jacobson and staff member Riley worked alongside the police to transfer the animals to safer conditions.

Initial medical examinations were conducted at the ANNA Shelter Triage Building. There Dr. Lyon, Officer Briley Henning, and Montanna of Team Anna assessed the animals for initial injuries.

Further evaluations will be conducted by Dr. McInerny and Dr. Zeigler.

All animals are expected to be available for adoption in the coming weeks.
