This weekend Erie will host three national championship events and a Qualifier Event.
The Lake Erie National Cheer and Dance Championships will take place on April 11 from 6:15 a.m. to 9:10 p.m. and April 12 from 6:45 a.m. until 6:15 p.m. The event is hosted by Champion Cheer Central. Over 3,000 athletes will travel to the Erie Insurance Arena to compete.

The NCBBA Men’s National Championships will also take place this weekend. The Championship begins April 10 until April 12 at the Highmark Events Center. Eight collegiate club teams will compete in the single-elimination tournament which will determine the 2026 national champion. More information about this tournament can be found online here.
The NCBBA Women’s National Championship will start April 10 until April 12. An opening round will take place at Hagerty Family Events Center. There are eight collegiate club teams competing. This tournament is also a single-elimination tournament that will advance with postseason play to reach the national championship. More information can be found online here.
At ASCEND Climbing there will be three championship games taking place for the Flagship City Throwdown. The event will be held on April 11 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. as well as the FINA Speed and Endurance Qualifier at Sinai Sports on April 12 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
