BETHEL TWP., Pa. – A fatal accident shut down I-78 in northern Berks County late Friday morning.
It happened just before 11:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes past Exit #13 for Bethel.
Emergency officials confirmed the coroner’s office has been called to the scene.
I-78 is currently closed eastbound between exits #13 and #15.
There is no word at this time on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
