Marywood University used an eight-run third inning to overcome an early deficit and beat Cairn University in a nonconference baseball game Thursday, 16-10, and extend its winning streak to six.

A.J. Kuzior had a three-run home run and Adam Ginsberg a three-run double to highlight the third-inning outburst by Marywood. Kuzior finished with five RBIs, while Ginsberg had five hits — the ninth player in program history to have a five-hit game.

Coleman McCain added two hits and three RBIs for the Pacers (16-9). Ethan Levine had two hits and two RBIs, while Joel Ayers and Jalen Soberal contributed two hits apiece.

Keystone 6, Wilkes 4: At La Plume, Keystone College rallied for four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat Wilkes University in a nonconference game.

Dee Rice had two hits and three RBIs for Keystone (15-7), including a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth. Colson Bennett and Jaxson Monroney also had RBI singles in the decisive inning for the Giants.

Softball

At Scranton, Amber Little singled to left field to score Kat Davis with the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead Marywood University to a 5-4 win over King’s College in the first game of a nonconference doubleheader. King’s took the nightcap, 6-3, to earn a split.

Davis had three hits in the opener for Marywood, while Tori Para had a double and two RBIs.

In the nightcap, Ariana Shellman had three hits for the Pacers (12-8), Lauryn Notari collected two hits and Riley Marshall had a two-run home run.

Misericordia 6, Scranton 0; Misericordia 10, Scranton 2: At Dallas, the University of Scranton lost a nonconference doubleheader to Misericordia University at Anderson Field.

Scranton was held to two hits in the first game — singles by Mollie Ferreira and Emmie Feltenberger — by two Misericordia pitchers.

Misericordia then scored seven runs over the first three innings of the second game. Gianna Muliero and Gabriella Gorzkowski had two hits each for the Royals (14-11).

Men’s tennis

At Madison, New Jersey, the University of Scranton lost a Landmark Conference match to Drew University, 5-2.

The Royals took two of three doubles matches to secure one point. Harrison Clark won at No. 4 singles.

Men’s golf

At Danville, the University of Scranton was fourth out of six teams at the Bloomsburg Husky Spring Invitational at Frosty Valley Country Club with a score of 327 (+39). Bloomsburg Maroon won with a 305 (+17), Millersville University at 308 (+20) and Goldey-Beacom College ay 317 (+29). Chestnut Hill College (331, +43) and Bloomsburg Gold (339, +51) rounded out the field.

Jack Novis lead Scranton with a 5-over 77. Richard Essen had a 6-over 78, followed by Cade Kelleher at 13-over 85, Gehrig Shannon at 15-over 87 and Juliano Nieto at 17-over 89.

Women’s golf

At Danville, the University of Scranton was ninth out of 10 teams at the Bloomsburg Husky Spring Invitational at Frosty Valley Country Club with a score of 419 (+131). Bloomsburg Maroon won with a 344 (+56), Millersville University was second with 350 (+62) and Kutztown University third with 354 (+66).

Lidia Marranca was top individual for the Royals with a 28-over 100. Mara Bilenski had a 103, Emily Davis 105, Cassandra Weir 111 and Julia Downing 117.
