EASTON, Pa. – The City of Easton has cleared out a homeless encampment.
City Councilman, Frank Pintabone, gave details about it in a Facebook post.
He said homeless people had been living in a wooded area “for some time.”
He said many of them repeatedly declined offers of supportive resources from an outreach advocate.
Pintabone said a few accepted help about two-and-a-half weeks ago, and the rest abandoned the area leaving behind evidence of illegal drug use and other debris.
He said the camp was cleared out when conditions were deemed hazardous.
