With an estimated 700,000 people expected to descend on Pittsburgh, authorities are hard at work going through their plans to keep the city safe.Pittsburgh Police said the city already has a strong working relationship with the NFL security. There will be an increased law enforcement presence beyond the perimeters of the draft and into the city.Officials say they wouldn’t go into specific numbers for the increased presence, but it will be “significant.”Emergency Medical Services will also be increased for the draft.Information on bag screenings and restricted items will be released at a later time for those planning to attend.The FBI said they are not aware of any credible threat of violence targeting the NFL Draft. Hundreds of agents and analysts will be deployed across the region during draft week. They are, however, restricting drone use within a mile of the draft.In addition to safety, officials have already discussed parking and transportation plans.Pittsburgh Regional Transit has provided a flow page to answer how you can get around from different areas of the city. Click here to find your routes and schedule.Most bus routes will be running their Saturday schedules on Thursday and Friday to minimize road congestion. Despite the change in schedule for the bus routes, officials with PRT said there will be more availability for rail services.All bus and rail schedules will be posted on that page. According to the page, the transit fare will be $2.75 for three hours or $25 for a seven-day pass (unlimited rides).The Gateway Clipper will also be able to transport riders back and forth. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead.
