SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A shakeup on the Lackawanna County Commissioner’s Board could be just hours away.

A special reorganization meeting is scheduled for Monday, and there is speculation that Democratic Commissioner Bill Gaughan will be replaced as the board chair.

The meeting comes just days after Democrat Brenda Sacco was sworn in as Interim Commissioner, before a special election is held in nine days.

The reorganization meeting is set for 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Conference Room in Downtown Scranton.
