ARCHBALD, Pa. — Community members in Archbald came together along Main Street for the fifth year to help clean local roadways and nearby wooded areas in Lackawanna County.
Today’s event, organized by the Northeastern group in partnership with Queernepa and the local library, includes an award-winning litter study that will be displayed to show the impact litter has on the community.
“When you see litter, it’s easy to feel bad about your town and where you live and the people in it, because how can you be such a slob, people would say. But when you really look at what you’re picking up, you can notice where it’s coming from, how we can reduce it, and then have that positive impact of look at all these amazing people that came out,” said Community Cleanup Organizer, Fawn Contreras.
The litter study will be displayed at the Valley Community Library.
