Officials said a may has been hospitalized after he showed up at a police station in Philly’s Germantown section early Monday after having been shot in the chest.
According to police, the incident happened at about 12:15 a.m., after a man walked into the 39th Police District Station in Philly’s Germantown section after he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man told officers there that he had been shot in an incident that happened along the 4500 block of Fern Hill Road shortly before he walked into the station.
Officials said the man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
As of about 7:45 a.m. on Monday, police had not provided additional details on this incident.
But, police said, officers were working to find a suspect and the exact scene of the shooting.
An investigation, officials said, was underway.
