READING, Pa. – The Berks County District Attorney’s Office is sounding the alarm about a new scam regarding missed court appearances.
Authorities say scammers use fake documents that look real and tell potential victims to use Bitcoin kiosks to resolve warrants.
They say law enforcement will not ask you for Bitcoin payments and they will never demand money or payment over the phone.
If you get a call or message like this, authorities say you should hang up and never give out personal information.
