OBITUARY
Dorothy A. Trexler, 92, of Allentown, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Arthur W. Trexler, Jr., who died in 2012.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John and Martha (Stuber) Loftus. Dottie was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. She was a receptionist at the former Western Electric for 12 years. Dottie devoted her life to her family and was always an active member of St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Allentown. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, was a Eucharistic minister, promoted for the Women’s Retreat and helped count the offerings.
Survivors: Daughter, Nancy A. Hafler and her husband Michael of Easton; son, David A. Trexler and his wife Deborah of Allentown; brother, John “Jack” Loftus of Catasauqua; 8 grandchildren, Jayson Sigley (fiancé Maren), Jennifer Glover (Michael), William Trexler, Timothy Trexler (Ali), Derek Hafler, Kara May, Nicole Kennedy (Scott) and Christie Transue; 9 great-grandchildren, Joseph, Eva, Dylan, Kolt, Aubree, Leah, Leighton, Quinn and Cyrus. Dottie was also preceded in death by brothers Thomas and Patrick Loftus and a daughter-in-law Susan Trexler.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 in St. Paul’s R.C. Church, 920 S. 2nd Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 9:30-11 AM in the church. Inurnment will be at 1 PM on Thursday, April 16th at St. Mark’s Cemetery, 103 W. Lexington Street, Allentown. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
