The Easton Public Market will soon celebrate its 10th birthday with a over a week of shopping, music, tea parties, yoga, trivia and more.
The celebration will begin Friday with live music 6-8 p.m. from the Acoustic Kitchen series at 325 Northampton St. in Easton, a news release announced, and run through April 25.
“For ten years, Easton Public Market has been more than a place to grab a meal — it’s been a place to gather, celebrate, discover local makers and to gather as a community,” Jared Mast, the executive director of the Greater Easton Development Partnership that operates the market, said in the release. “This anniversary week is our way of saying thank you to everyone who has helped make the Public Market such a special part of Easton and the Lehigh Valley.”
The anniversary schedule, available on the market website, includes the Winter Farmers’ Market on Northampton Street, an after-hours performance of Grateful Dead music from the tribute band DEAL, raffle prizes, a cake and coffee celebration, Drag Bingo, the Spring Into Easton shopping and tasting crawl, and children’s events like Princess Tea and Story and a Snack.
The market, which opened in 2016, has also become nominated for the country’s best public market under USA Today’s 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards. Winners will be announced April 22.
