LOWER MERION TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — Lower Merion Township’s first red light camera is now active.
Drivers caught running the light at Remington Road and Lancaster Avenue in Wynnewood will receive a warning until June 5.
After that, drivers will face a $100 fine.
Township officials say a trained police officer will review every picture to verify vehicle information and ensure the vehicle is in violation.
Along with Remington Road and Lancaster Avenue, the township wants to add cameras to Lancaster Avenue at Haverford Station Road, and Montgomery Avenue and Airedale Road.
