UNION TWP., Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are investigating a series of thefts from vehicles in southern Berks County.
On March 8th, PSP investigators say the unknown perpetrator removed credit cards from several vehicles parked in the 100 block of Campbell Forge Road, Union Township.
The location is part of the Union Twp. Recreation Area along the Schuylkill River Trail, and many vehicles were parked in the area for a half-marathon run on the day the thefts occurred, police say.

The thief used the victims’ credit cards a short time later at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and Best Buy stores in Wyomissing, making over $5,700.00 in unauthorized charges.
Police say the unidentified thief, who arrived at the retail stores on an electric scooter, walks with a slight limp in his left leg.
