Upper Darby firefighters make quick work of house fire

There were no injuries in an early morning fire in Upper Darby.

Township crews responded to a house fire in the 200 block of Wycombe Avenue about 5:15 Tuesday morning.

Upper Darby Fire Chief Nicholas Martin said it was a small fire that was contained to the floor of origin, causing “moderate damage.”

Radio traffic indicates crews quickly had water on the flames and the incident was under control within 15 minutes.

The fire remains under investigation, Martin said.
