An Erie resident has been arrested after attempting to assault someone with an “edged” weapon.
The incident caused one person to need life-saving medical care to survive. Alondre Hamilton, 34, is facing several charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.

The incident happened in the 700 block of West 4th outside of a bar and restaurant on April 2.
According to court documents, Hamilton, along with two others, drove up to the victim while he was walking and immediately started punching, kicking and stomping on him.

Surveillance shows the victim removing an object and clutching his left side.
He sustained life-threatening injuries and Hamilton is being held on a $25,000 bond.
