An Erie man is facing recklessly endangering, driving under the influence and summary traffic charges after city police accused him of crashing into the back of a police patrol vehicle that was stopped at a red light on West 12th Street April 12.
The officer and the driver of the vehicle that hit him were both taken to the hospital after the accident, which was reported April 12 at about 1:30 a.m. at West 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue, police reported April 13.
