Margaret L. “Peggy” Greaves
OBITUARY
Margaret L. “Peggy” Greaves, 87, of Wyomissing, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Columbia Cottage. She was the beloved wife of Russell E. Greaves, Jr., with whom she shared 67 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary each September 6th.
Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Evan L. and Evelyn L. (Hoffman) Baker. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children: David R. Greaves, Diana L. Shahade, Stephen T. Greaves (husband of Gail), and Mark A. Greaves; her brother, Fred Baker; six grandchildren, Andrew, Bryan, Melanie, Erin, Stephanie, and Ashley; and eight great-grandchildren, Brendon, Madelyn, Bradyn, Brielle, Dylan, Luke, Nolan, and Owen. She was preceded in death by her siblings Shirley, Barbara, Evan, and William.
Peggy enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid reader and a talented needlepointer whose work is treasured by her family.
A 1956 graduate of Hatboro-Horsham High School, she retired from Wells Fargo Bank, where she worked in the call center. She previously worked in retail at VF Outlets.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, April 16th, at Mohn’s Hill E.C. Church, 708 Mohns Hill Rd., Reading. Arrangements are entrusted to Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. Online condolences may be shared at www.lammandwitman.com.
