Judge sentences Allentown man for sexually assaulting woman, filming part of incident, officials say | Allentown Area

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A man who sexually assaulted a woman and filmed part of the incident learned his sentence Wednesday.

Judge Robert L. Steinberg sentenced Lorens Dejesus Gomez, 24, to serve 10 to 23 months in Lehigh County Jail, in addition to three years of probation, according to a news release from the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA’s office said Gomez will also be required to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.

The DA said Gomez, of Allentown, was convicted by a jury of Invasion of Privacy – view, photograph, etc. person without consent.

The jury could not come to an agreement on a charge of Rape, the DA’s office said.

As part of an agreement, Gomez pleaded guilty Wednesday to Sexual Assault, according to the DA’s office.

The DA’s office said the agreement was reached to avoid the necessity and to spare the victim from going through a second trial and with the victim’s approval.

On April 25, 2024, the victim met Gomez through a dating app and agreed to meet him at his home to braid his hair, according to the news release.

The DA’s office said she told Gomez several times she did not want to have sex.

Gomez sexually assaulted the victim at his home and also recorded part of the incident without her knowledge or consent, according to the news release.

DA’s office said the victim was able to leave the home and contacted police.
