COOPERSBURG, Pa. – A beloved Lehigh Valley landmark that came crashing down due to winter winds is set to make a triumphant return.
Chip, the 25-foot-tall mascot for Coopersburg’s The Inside Scoop ice cream parlor, was severely damaged by high winds back in February.
In a message earlier today on social media, The Inside Scoop posted photos and a statement saying Chip is currently being repaired and could back in his rightful place later this afternoon if all goes as planned.
Chip was initially made for a gas station in the 1960s and was installed at the Coopersburg business in 2018.
