Walmart announced plans to remodel 32 stores across Pennsylvania this year — including three in Northeast Pennsylvania — expanding healthy food options and enhancing the in-store and online shopping experience, company officials said.

Locally, the stores in Eaton Twp., near Tunkhannock, in Wyoming County; Taylor in Lackawanna County; and Westfall Twp., near Milford, in Pike County will be remodeled.

Efforts to modernize the in-store and digital shopping experience will include upgrading layouts, technology and services to offer faster, more convenient shopping and delivery, officials said.

The remodeled stores will also feature updated pharmacies, offering vaccines and other clinical services, and vision centers providing services like free cleanings and adjustments, Walmart officials added.
