Tuesday, October 28 is the last day to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot in Pennsylvania for next week’s election.
You can apply in person, on line or by mail, but your application has to be in by 5 p.m. on that day.
On Monday, Philadelphia election officials called on city voters to turn around the embarrassing trend of low turnout.
Officials say already 100,000 ballots have been requested by mail, but tradition shows thousands will not be returned.
They reminded voters they can visit a satellite location if they have damaged their mail in or absentee ballot and need a replacement.
Also voters should make sure they put that ballot into the yellow secrecy envelope and then into the return envelope, which needs to be signed and dated.
If you mess up the three part process, you can head to a satellite office to get some help.
If you vote mail in or absentee ballot, it has to be in by 8 p.m. on Election night.
When you go to drop off your mail in or absentee ballot in the city, you will see that the dropbox has a special paint job. It’ll be green – as in Eagles green!
In addition to mail-in or absentee, you can also vote in person at your local polling spot on November 4.
In either case, officials say you can expect a safe and secure Election Day.
