Rutger McGroarty and Rafaël Harvey-Pinard each scored two goals to lead the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to an 8-0 rout of the Rochester Americans on Saturday night at Mohegan Arena in the regular season finale.
Sergei Murashov made 27 saves to secure his fourth shutout of the season.
Atley Calvert, Tristan Broz, Owen Pickering and Ville Koivunen each added a goal for the Penguins, who had their largest margin of victory on the season.
The Penguins finished the season with a 46-17-7-2 record and 101 points, and secured second place in the Atlantic Division to earn a first-round bye in the Calder Cup playoffs. It was Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s seventh 100-point season and the franchise’s first since 2017.
