Fire tears through two rowhomes overnight in Kensington – NBC10 Philadelphia

A fire tore through two rowhomes in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood overnight.

It happened along Weymouth Street around 2 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026.

NBC10 spoke with Tim, a resident on the street, who was awoken by neighbors after the fire broke out.

“I was sleeping, and I heard a lot of noise, and the neighbors were hollering and banging on doors. Next thing, they were banging on mine,” Tim said.

Tim added that the homes that were on fire had been previously boarded up by the city.

Officials said the fire is under control and no one was hurt.
