(WJET/WFXP)– To celebrate their commitment to serving the environment and protecting its natural resources, Erie County will be lighting up the courthouse green this week in honor of Earth Day.
As the only county in Pennsylvania with access to Lake Erie, officials are inviting the public to see the courthouse on the evenings of April 21 and 22 to remind the community of how important conservation, sustainability and preserving the environment are.
Earth Day takes place each year on April 22 to encourage communities everywhere to do their part in protecting the planet by reducing waste, conserving water and supporting clean energy and other initiatives.
