CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – City council approved legislation Monday to make improvements to two of the oldest city-owned cemeteries.
The improvements include rehabilitating or renovating the Erie Street Cemetery located on East 9th Street, across from Progressive Field. It is the city’s oldest existing cemetery.
And making improvements to the Highland Park Cemetery Mausoleum located on Chagrin Blvd in Highland Hills.
The legislation authorizes the city to enter into public improvement contracts and professional services and other contracts needed to implement the improvements.
The estimated cost is $650,000. The legislation is Ord. No. 231-2026.
