Fundraising event: Valley Community Library annual Books Appétit fundraising event, May 7, 6-9 p.m., 739 River St., Peckville. Enjoy a fun night at the library with local food, beer, wine, raffle baskets and live music by the Wanabees. This event is for individuals 21 and older. Tickets cost $35/person in advance or $40 at the door. All proceeds from Books Appétit benefit the Valley Community Library. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online or in person at the library.

Takeout pasta dinner: Sons of Italy Old Forge Gloria Lodge takeout pasta dinner, April 26, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Felittese Picnic Grounds, 146 Third St., Old Forge. Dinner includes pasta, meatballs, salad, roll and dessert. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased that day. Quart containers of sauce ($8) or sauce and meatballs ($12) are also available.

Rummage/bake sale: Rummage and bake sale, May 1, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and May 2, 9 a.m.-noon (followed by a $5-per-bag bag sale from 12:30-2 p.m.), St. John’s Lutheran Church, Seventh and Church streets, Honesdale. Items available will include books, games, puzzles, holiday items, kitchenware and jewelry.
