A fan has filed a lawsuit against the Pittsburgh Pirates and PNC Park after a fight with a park employee on May 4, 2023.The video (posted above) shows the fight between the fan, Patrick Egan, and park employee Raymond Stroud III. In the lawsuit, Egan claims the incident began when his friend accidentally bumped into a female employee, which led to a verbal altercation. The female employee then called Stroud over to intervene, according to the suit.The video shows Stroud punching Egan multiple times and later removing his belt to whip him. Stroud was suspended during an investigation into the incident last year.
