ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Pinebrook Family Answers is celebrating National Foster Care Month with a free community block party.

The event will be held Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pinebrook’s 402 North Fulton Street campus in Allentown.

Families, neighbors, and community members are invited to enjoy an afternoon of food, music, activities, face painting, balloon animals, and opportunities to learn more about foster parenting, adoption, and available local resources.

May marks National Foster Care Month, which officials say is a time to honor foster parents, mentors, volunteers, child welfare professionals, and policymakers who help children and youth find stability, permanency, and hope.

Pinebrook Family Answers says it’s been committed to serving children in need for more than 40 years, offering specialized foster care programs that meet the unique needs of each child.
