The eastbound lane of the Linden Street bridge over the Lackawanna River, rail lines and the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail in Scranton will close to traffic starting Monday for a bridge rehabilitation project, the state Department of Transportation announced Thursday.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured around the work via North Seventh, West Lackawanna and Franklin avenues, and back to Linden Street on the east side of the river.

The westbound lane of the Linden Street bridge will remain open to traffic during the repair project.
