A homeless man broke into a woman’s apartment and damaged her belongings when she wasn’t home, according to Dunmore police.

Logan Phillip Butler, 27, faces felony charges of burglary and criminal trespass.

Borough police say that sometime in the early hours of Oct. 19, Butler entered a Marion Street residence through an unlocked window while the woman who lived there was out.

Butler is accused of cutting power cords to her belongings, as well as the cable television wire, coffee maker, air conditioner, vacuum cleaner and an extension cord.

In addition, Butler allegedly cut a pillow, broke the woman’s toothbrush and wiped Vaseline on the bed and floors of the apartment.

He remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on April 29 before District Judge Kipp Adcock.
