I-95 SB shut down in Philadelphia's Tacony section due to car fire

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Interstate 95 Southbound was shut down Thursday afternoon after a car caught fire in Philadelphia’s Tacony section.

The roadway is closed between mile markers 32 and 27, according to PhilaOEM.

Chopper 6 was over the charred vehicle near the Academy Exit.

I-95 reopened just before 1:30 p.m.
