Cooper Roberts, Kyle Holmes and Quinn Carson each scored three goals to help lead the University of Scranton to an 18-3 victory over Drew University in its Landmark Conference men’s lacrosse regular-season finale Wednesday at Weiss Field.

Chase Ritcey and Myles McCutcheon added one goal and two assists apiece for the Royals (11-6 overall, 9-0 league), who won their 10th straight game and capped a perfect league regular season. Scranton scored the first 15 goals and its defense held Drew scoreless for the opening 40-plus minutes.

Scranton is the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Landmark playoffs. After a first-round bye, it will host either No. 4 Moravian or No. 5 Susquehanna in the semifinals April 29 at 4 p.m. The final is May 2.

Women’s lacrosse

At Madison, New Jersey, the University of Scranton beat Drew University, 21-9, to complete a perfect Landmark Conference regular season.

Jillian Lopez scored five goals, Eileen Hewitt netted four goals and Jessica McCabe netted three for the Royals (13-4, 9-0), who earned the No. 1 seed for the upcoming conference playoffs for the third consecutive season.

After a first-round bye, Scranton will host either No. 4 Susquehanna or No. 5 Drew in the semifinals April 29 at 7 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for May 2.

Marywood 28, Centenary 3: At Scranton, Marywood University set a single-game program record for goals in its Atlantic East Conference regular-season finale against Centenary University.

Natalie Yilanjian had three goals and two assists for five points to become the ninth player in school history to reach the 200 career points.

Kaitlyn Smith scored five goals and six assists for the Pacers (10-6, 4-1) and added nine draw controls and three ground balls. Avery Meighan added five goals, two assists, seven draw controls and two ground balls. Alli Duncan chipped in three goals and one assist. Danica Kelly recorded a hat trick, Alivia Backes had two goals, one assist and a career-high eight draw controls and Carly Lynch contributed a goal and four assists.

Marywood is the No. 2 seed for the conference playoffs and hosts No. 3 Marymount University in the semifinals Saturday at 1 p.m.

Baseball

At Volpe Field, the University of Scranton was held to four hits as first-place Wilkes University earned an 11-0 shutout in seven innings in Landmark Conference action.

Joey Granko, John Heitzman, Vincent Napolitano and Brayden Keller each singled for the Royals (23-13, 12-8).

Tyler Ansell, Ethan Grodack and Ethan Jezewski combined on the four-hitter for Wilkes (22-12, 17-3).

Men’s golf

At Shawnee Golf Course, the University of Scranton finished second in the Conquer the Island Invitational with a team score of 14-over 302. Drew University was first with a 1-over 289.

Individually, Richard Essen led the Royals with a 1-under 71 to place second. Essen had four birdies and one eagle in his round.

Also for Scranton, Jack Novis shot 4-over 76, Cade Kelleher carded a 5-over 77, Juliano Nieto had a 6-over 78 and Gehrig Shannon finished with an 8-over 80.

Women’s golf

At Shawnee Golf Course, the University of Scranton placed third in the Conquer the Island Invitational with a team score of 370. Susquehanna was first with 329 and Drew second with 332.

Linda Marranca and Mara Bilenski both shot 19-over 91 to lead the Royals. Marranca was 6-over 42 on the back nine, while Bilenski was 9-over 45 on the back nine.

Emily Davis had a 93, Cassandra Weir recorded a 95 and Julia Downing carded a 98 to round out the Scranton lineup.
